The CoFiA and GUD-sponsored coffee house, Casa Latina, had its first meeting of this year’s six week series on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church. The theme for this year’s series is learning about the proposed immigration reform.
A group of 16 GUD and CoFiA members enjoyed a good Guatemalan dinner and conversation. We welcomed the 18 year old daughter of a member. She had just arrived from Guatemala.
Claudia Carias, of MIGUA, led the discussion and provided very helpful information.
2012/12/24This is a good book on Fundraising. It focuses on how to keep your doonrs once you get them. Provides many excellent ideas that have been modeled by the authors. I’m planning to give one to each of our Staff since it’s easier to keep a donor than find new ones, and we are all on donor support in Life Impact. And to understand that God has sovereignly connected a missionary with those supporting them as one of their ministry groups is a precious perspective in a day of fast and quick relationships.
